New Directions Education are currently recruiting enthusiastic and adaptable Primary Teachers to work in schools across Chester and surrounding areas. This role is ideal for teachers who enjoy working in a variety of school settings and are passionate about delivering engaging lessons that inspire and support children's learning.

We work with a range of welcoming and supportive primary schools offering day-to-day, short-term, long-term, and potential temp-to-perm opportunities.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required.
• Experience teaching within a primary school setting.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Proactive and professional approach to teaching.
• Safeguarding and a sound understanding of the primary curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons across EYFS, KS1, and/or KS2.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development.
• Plan and adapt lessons to meet learners' needs.
• Assess pupil progress and provide feedback as required.
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and school staff.

Due to the nature of these opportunities, candidates must be able to commit to working 3 or more days per week.

The Role:

• Delivering engaging lessons across EYFS, KS1, and/or KS2
• Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Supporting pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
• Planning and adapting lessons to meet the needs of all learners
• Assessing pupil progress and providing feedback where required
• Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and school staff

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching within a primary school setting
• Strong classroom management skills
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A proactive and professional approach to teaching
• A strong understanding of safeguarding and the primary curriculum
• A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
