A community-focused school in LS10 is looking for a committed HLTA to support across KS1 and KS2. This is a vital position where you'll play an instrumental role in shaping student progress.

Responsibilities:

  • Covering classes during teacher PPA and planning time

  • Leading group work in literacy, numeracy, and phonics

  • Supporting pupils with SEND and EHCPs during lessons

  • Monitoring and recording pupil progress

  • Delivering creative and sensory-based learning where required

  • Acting as a role model for positive behaviour and inclusion

Requirements:

  • HLTA qualification or extensive classroom leadership experience

  • Familiarity with the national curriculum and phonics programmes

  • A nurturing, patient approach to support all learners

  • Evidence of impact in a similar role (e.g., interventions or cover)

  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills

  • DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
