Background:

A client-facing, business and technical staff position responsible for managing production Charles River IMS systems for multiple clients as part of the Charles River SaaS offerings, including application management for both hosted and non-hosted clients.

Responsibilities:

This role involves working closely with clients to provide expert-level remote management, administration, and support for Client production Charles River IMS solutions, including:

  1. Client assistance in optimal use of the system
  2. User administration/privileges
  3. Parameter configuration changes
  4. System availability
  5. Application and database performance tuning
  6. Monitoring and supporting daily operational processing
  7. Applying Charles River IMS and database software patches
  8. Performing Charles River IMS version upgrades
  9. Assisting with problem support and resolution
  10. Business continuity/disaster recovery support
  11. Transitioning new clients to production smoothly in collaboration with Charles River colleagues
  12. Working with vendors to deliver seamless services to clients
  13. Participating in service development, refinement, and process improvements
  14. Implementing and operating third-party tools to enhance service delivery
  15. Periodic out-of-hours and weekend support
  16. Occasional travel to client sites for planning and review meetings
Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
  • Experience with Financial Services Investment Management, Trading, or related systems (e.g., Charles River IMS) is highly preferred
  • Ability to collaborate with internal departments to deliver excellent customer service
  • Experience with MS SQL Server, Oracle, and/or Sybase database configuration, operations, and basic administration
  • Knowledge of servers, operating systems, networks, scripting, XML, programming, job scheduling, system monitoring, and disaster recovery/business continuity is advantageous
  • Excellent customer service, technical troubleshooting, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or analytical discipline such as Computer Science, IT, Financial Engineering, Engineering, Science, Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics
  • Minimum 3+ years of relevant industry experience
