Dalry Primary School in Edinburgh is recruiting a Primary Support for Learning Teacher on a fixed-term basis until 25 March 2027. You will support the learning of pupils across the primary stages with a strong emphasis on Numeracy and closing the attainment gap, in line with City of Edinburgh Council priorities and PEF funding.

The role involves implementing national and local priorities, collaborating with school colleagues, and promoting best practice in Numeracy across the staff.

Qualifikationen

• Qualified teacher with ability to lead Numeracy initiatives.
• Experience in Support for Learning is desirable.
• Evidence of ability to work in a team and meet deadlines.

Aufgaben

• To support and promote high quality teaching and learning, to raise attainment, with a key focus on Numeracy
• To support the implementation of national and local priorities, with a particular focus on Numeracy
• To support identified pupils with their learning and progression in Numeracy
• To assess, record, track and report on the progression of identified pupils
• To work collaboratively with colleagues in the wider school team
• To lead the sharing of best practice in Numeracy support across the wider school team
• To promote the direction, scope and pace of curriculum development across the wider school team with a focus on Numeracy
• To work with and advise colleagues in a professionally supportive and practical manner to ensure best practice in the classroom
• To promote active participation of pupils in classroom experiences
• To meet parents/carers and other professional partners as necessary
