Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd is seeking qualified Supply Teachers for September 2026 across Somerset schools. Roles include part-time or full-time supply across all year groups, with days and placements chosen to suit your preferences.

Successful candidates will hold UK QTS, manage classroom behaviour confidently, and participate in DBS checks and references. We offer competitive daily rates and ongoing professional development through Vision for Education.

Supply Teacher - September 2026

Vision for Education support a variety of SEMH & SEN primary and secondary schools in Somerset and are recruiting Supply Teachers who are flexible with teaching children across all ages. A typical working day would start at 08:15am and finish at 15:30pm. The schools we work with are welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environments where staff work collaboratively to help every child succeed. Many classrooms are supported by dedicated Teaching Assistants and 1:1 support staff who provide additional support for pupils with a range of learning and developmental needs. Students needs can vary from ASC, ADHD, ADD, challenging behaviours, learning difficulties, PMLD and Social Emotional Mental Health Needs. We will aim to find you work as close to home as possible.

We are looking for both full time and part time Supply Teachers who are happy to cover all year groups. If you have a specific preference of days you would like to work or age groups you would prefer to support, please let us know and we can meet your expectations. Permanent positions can be offered through Vision for Education on a temp-to-perm basis if the school feel you are the right fit, and this is something you wish to pursue yourself.

Supply Teacher Requirements:

To be considered for the role of Primary Supply Teacher you will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
• Have a confident approach to behaviour management
• Be able to provide full enhanced DBS clearance or be willing to apply for one through Vision for Education
• Be able to provide two positive references to support your recent work as a teacher

Salary is dependant on experience, training and/or qualifications.
