Job summary

Randstad is seeking experienced primary supply teachers to support local schools with flexible schedule options. You can select your working days each week via the Sirenum system, updating availability to suit childcare or retirement plans while earning income.

Most bookings come with prepared planning and resources; your role is to bring the lessons to life, maintain pupil engagement, and support learning alongside classroom routines.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS on the update service.
• A degree qualification in teaching (PGCE) along with a QTS.
• Strong knowledge of the Primary curriculum.
• Relevant teaching experience with two teaching references.
• Eligibility to work in the UK (sponsorship not available).
• Tailoring teaching to individual children's needs.

Responsibilities

• Responsibility for teaching and learning.
• Delivering pre-planned lessons and managing time.
• Using subject knowledge to bring set work to life.
• Managing behaviour within the classroom.
• Developing independent study skills and peer learning.
• Pastoral and learning support.

Are you an experienced primary teacher seeking local teaching opportunities with full schedule autonomy? Would you like to gain experience across a range of local schools?

Randstad is currently seeking Supply Teachers to support thriving local primary schools. As a supply teacher, you can choose the days you work each week using our booking system, Sirenum. This user-friendly system allows you to update your availability (when YOU decide) and has proven HIGHLY beneficial for those with prior childcare arrangements in place, those generally looking to work part time and those who are set to retire, but still want general income.

For the vast majority of school bookings, planning and resources will already be prepared. On this note, you will still be expected to bring the lessons of the day alive and keep our future generation highly informed/engaged.

If you are looking for part time or full time teaching work

The Role Will Include

• responsibility for teaching and learning
• Delivering pre:planned lessons (you can have your evenings back)
• Using your own subject knowledge and teaching skills to bring set work to life
• Managing the behaviour within the classroom
• Developing independent study skills and peer learning
• Pastoral and learning support
• Managing handover back to the absent teacher

Requirements

• A degree qualification in teaching (PGCE) along with a QTS
• Strong knowledge of the Primary curriculum
• Relevant teaching experience (Must be able to provide 2 teaching references)
• You must have eligibility to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available with this post)
• Tailoring your approach to the individual needs of children where necessary.
