Job summary

Randstad is recruiting Supply Teachers to support local primary schools with flexible, part-time or full-time teaching roles across the UK. Our booking system Sirenum lets you choose your available days, update availability, and manage your calendar.

You will deliver pre-planned lessons, draw on your subject knowledge to engage students, and maintain strong classroom management. DBS, QTS/PGCE, and eligibility to work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• DBS on the update service.
• Degree qualifications in teaching (PGCE) with a QTS.
• Strong knowledge of the Primary curriculum.
• Proof of 2 teaching references.
• Eligibility to work in the UK (sponsorship not available).

Responsibilities

• Teaching and learning responsibilities in primary settings.
• Delivering pre-planned lessons and managing class activities.
• Using subject knowledge to bring set work to life.
• Managing classroom behaviour and routines.
• Developing independent study and peer learning.
• Pastoral and learning support for pupils.
• Managing handover back to the absent teacher.

For the vast majority of school bookings, planning and resources will already be prepared. On this note, you will still be expected to bring the lessons of the day alive and keep our future generation highly informed/engaged.

The Role Will Include

• responsibility for teaching and learning

• Managing handover back to the absent teacher

Requirements

• Enhanced DBS on the update service
• A degree qualification in teaching (PGCE) along with a QTS
• Strong knowledge of the Primary curriculum
• Relevant teaching experience (Must be able to provide 2 teaching references)
• You must have eligibility to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available with this post)
• Tailoring your approach to the individual needs of children where necessary.
