Job summary

TimePlan Education is seeking qualified Primary supply teachers to support Portsmouth schools for the Autumn term. Roles span EYFS, KS1 and KS2 with daily cover across sickness, PPA and course-related needs.

Successful candidates will hold QTS and have at least 6 months UK teaching experience. The role demands flexibility, strong classroom management, and a commitment to safeguarding training.

Qualifications

• QTS and at least 6 months UK teaching experience.
• Strong knowledge of the UK curriculum and how to teach it.
• Able to adapt to supply teaching across multiple year groups.
• Willingness to undergo safeguarding training and comply with school protocols.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess teaching to enable pupil learning.
• Engage and motivate pupils to achieve learning goals.
• Inspire confidence in pupils, colleagues and parents.
• Collaborate with colleagues in the classroom to support learning.
• Participate in whole school activities as required by the Headteacher.
• Adhere to safeguarding procedures and handbook protocols.
• Plan and lead children in off-site enrichment activities.
• Maintain up-to-date safeguarding training and induction requirements.

Are you a trained and qualified Primary teacher with QTS? Are you looking to work on a SUPPLY BASIS in local schools across Portsmouth during the Autumn term?

We are recruiting Primary teachers to join our team to support local Primary schools for a term on a daily supply basis to cover sickness, PPA and course cover.

You will be required to show flexibility in your approach to teaching and candidates must have Qualified Teacher status with at least 6 months experience of teaching within a UK school to have an understanding of the UK curriculum.

Main Roles and Responsibilities:

• Plan, deliver and assess outstanding teaching and learning using proven methods and approaches that enable young people to learn
• Engage and motivate pupils
• Inspire trust and confidence in pupils, colleagues, parents and other professionals
• Build team commitment with colleagues and in the classroom
• Engage in whole school activities as required by the Headteacher
• Adhere to all working protocols as agreed and published in the handbook
• Plan and lead children in off-site enrichment activities
