Job summary

Academics Ltd is seeking qualified Primary Supply Teachers to work across Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan. Flexible day-to-day supply and long-term placements are available across Grangetown, Penarth, Dinas Powys, Barry, Cardiff City Centre, Cardiff Bay, Ely, Llanedeyrn and beyond.

You will deliver engaging lessons across all primary year groups, follow lesson plans, manage behaviour, and build strong relationships with pupils and staff in different school settings.

Qualifications

• QTS is required to teach in primary settings.
• Enhanced DBS certificate is required.
• Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons across primary year groups (Nursery to Year 6).
• Provide day-to-day cover and maintain continuity of learning.
• Follow and adapt existing lesson plans as needed.

Academics is currently recruiting reliable and enthusiastic Primary Supply Teachers to work across a wide range of local primary schools. The Role

• Delivering engaging lessons across all primary year groups, from Nursery to Year 6.
• Providing day-to-day classroom cover and ensuring continuity of learning.
• Following existing lesson plans and adapting activities where necessary.
• Managing classroom behaviour and creating a positive learning environment.
• Building relationships with pupils and staff across different school settings.
• Taking on flexible daily cover or longer-term placements within the same school.

We're Looking For

• Qualified Primary Teachers with QTS.
• Both newly qualified and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• A reliable, adaptable and flexible approach.
• A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
• Access to a vehicle is desirable to make travelling between schools across Cardiff and the Vale easier.
