Primary Supply Teacher

Oakington

£140 - £160 a day

We are currently seeking a motivated and qualified Supply Teacher to join our team in Oakington. This role offers flexible working days and a competitive daily rate. As a Supply Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality education to students across various schools in and around Oakington and the surrounding villages. You will have the opportunity to work in different classroom settings, engaging with students of different age groups and backgrounds.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrating a genuine passion for teaching and fostering learning.
  • Adapting teaching methods to meet the unique needs of each child.
  • Create and maintain a positive, engaging, and well-organised classroom environment.
  • Cultivate a supportive and inclusive atmosphere where students feel safe and encouraged to learn and develop.
  • Effectively manage classroom behaviour and promote active student participation.
  • Work collaboratively with school staff to ensure seamless transitions and continuity in learning.
  • Offer constructive feedback to teachers and school leadership to support the ongoing development of students.

Requirements:

  • A valid Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK is required (sponsorship is not available for this role).
  • An enhanced child DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Key Stage 1 (KS1), and Key Stage 2 (KS2) curricula.
  • Two recent professional references.
  • Strong reading, writing, numeracy, and communication skills.
  • Relevant professional teaching references.
  • Ability to engage and inspire students of varying abilities.
