Job summary

Aspire People Limited in Manchester is seeking student teachers, trainee teachers and education students for paid school experience alongside their studies. Work includes Teaching Assistant tasks, 1:1 pupil support, reading and phonics, classroom assistance and intervention support across primary schools in Manchester.

Flexible, short-term and part-time opportunities to fit around your course, with dedicated consultant support and a chance to build relationships with schools before qualifying.

Qualifications

• Study towards teaching/QTS or related education qualification is required.
• Previous experience working with children is preferred.
• Strong communication skills are essential.
• Reliable and professional approach with safeguarding commitment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in classrooms and support pupils across primary settings.
• Provide 1:1 pupil support and small-group interventions.
• Assist with reading and phonics activities and general classroom tasks.

Aspire People are looking for student teachers, trainee teachers and education students who want to gain paid school experience alongside their studies.

With the new academic year now underway, we're working with primary schools across Manchester who need additional support staff.

If you're currently completing your teacher training, studying an education-related course or working towards QTS, this can be a great way to build your classroom experience outside of your formal placements while earning alongside your studies.

We'll work with you to understand your availability and look for opportunities that fit around your course and other commitments.
