Primary SEND Teaching Assistant – South Kirby Area

Are you passionate about supporting young children with additional needs? We are looking for a dedicated Primary SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist provision in the South Kirby area. This full-time, term-time only role is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to children aged 4–7 years old with Autism and communication difficulties. The unit supports around children, providing a nurturing environment where every child can thrive.

The successful candidate will be patient, resilient and caring, with the ability to build positive relationships with children who have complex needs. Experience with personal care is essential.

Job Specification & Responsibilities
  • Supporting children aged 4–7 with Autism and communication difficulties

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support within a specialist provision

  • Assisting with personal care and supporting children's individual needs

  • Helping to create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment

  • Working closely with the class teacher and support staff team

  • Promoting independence, confidence and positive behaviour in pupils
