We are looking for a talented KS2-3 Transition Teacher to work within our Learning Support Department, providing specialised teaching to meet the needs of our SEND students.

Working closely with our SENCO the successful candidate will preferably be primary trained or specifically KS2-3 trained in English or Maths.

To further develop the provision for SEND students, the successful candidate will:

  • teach studentsin Key Stage 3acrossa range of subjects
  • In conjunctionwiththeSENDCo,delivertargetedevidence-basedSENDinterventionsandcontributetoEHCPsand student passports.
  • contributetotrainingopportunitiesforteachingassistantsandotherteacherstolearnaboutSEND.
  • disseminategoodpracticeinSENDacrosstheschool.
  • beadynamic,creative,inclusiveteacher,withaflairfornumeracyandliteracy.
  • Likely beprimary /KS3trainedand willhavea passion forteachingstudents with SEN,adept at adaptive teaching to ensure all students reach their potential.
  • beabletomotivateandinspirestudentstosucceedintheirstudiesandreachtheirfullpotential.
  • understandtheprinciplesofeffectiveassessmentandadaptyourteachingaccordingly.
  • willbeareflectiveandadaptableteacherwhocanmaintainexcellentdisciplinewithintheclassroom.

  • will demonstrate a commitment to your own professional development and will be keen to improve your practice by being an active participant in the whole-school Teaching and Learning team.
