Job description

Primary SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: EXETER

Salary: £88.94 per day

FULL TIME ROLE: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 3.30pm.

We are in need of FULL TIME SEN Teaching Assistant to join SEN schools in Exeter from Septemeber, 2025.

This role is full time and it is DESIRABLE to have a UK driving license and own car.

Due to the nature of these children at the school it is ideal for applicants to have previous experience in UK SEN schools/ alternative provisions/ transferable skills working with behavioural needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Guide students as a Teaching Assistant, offering personalised guidance and support.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to develop comprehensive support plans.
  • Foster a nurturing environment that promotes improved social interactions and communication skills.
  • Assist with daily tasks, academic activities, and implement effective interventions to address behavior challenges and promote positive outcomes.
