About the Role:
Prospero Teaching are seeking a dedicated and compassionate level 3 SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive team at a vibrant and inclusive 2-form entry primary school in Alum Rock. You will be working in Year 4, supporting a child (or children) with specific learning and/or behavioural needs, both in the classroom and during small group or 1:1 interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted support to pupils with SEND, under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO.
  • Help to create a safe, stimulating and supportive learning environment.
  • Foster positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • Assist with planning and delivering tailored activities that meet individual learning needs.
  • Monitor pupil progress and contribute to reports and reviews.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working with children with SEND
  • A calm, empathetic, and proactive approach.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A commitment to promoting inclusion and high standards for all learners.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) - desirable but not essential.
