A fantastic Specialist Primary School in Trowbridge is seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately on a full-time basis. You will work closely with a small class of SEN pupils aged 5 to 11, who may have autism, ADHD, Down syndrome, learning difficulties, communication challenges, or physical disabilities.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include providing both one-to-one and group support under the guidance of the class teacher. You will track each child's progress, assist them in achieving new milestones, support their behaviour management, nurture their life skills, and create a stimulating and safe learning environment.
While prior experience working with individuals with additional needs is beneficial, what matters most is your compassionate and understanding nature and your willingness to take on this rewarding challenge. The school is looking for a kind-hearted and passionate individual dedicated to supporting children with additional needs.
