Primary SEN Teaching Assistant
Castleford
£90 - £110 Per Day Inclusive of Holiday Pay
Immediate Start, Temporary to Permanent Roles Available
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: recent experience obtained within the last 2 years, of working with children or young people, ideally within a school, nursery, childcare, youth work, play or care setting. We must be able to obtain references from these roles.
The Role
We are currently seeking an additional Primary SEN Teaching Assistant for work within our partner primary specialist provision working alongside young people aged 5-11 years old.
The Primary SEN Teaching Assistant role involves supporting groups of primary aged children in a primary school with additional needs such as Challenging Behaviour, ASD, PMLD, MLD and Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. You will be required to work within group and 1:1 setting with a range of ages and levels of learning.
Your daily routine will involve continuously adapting and working alongside pupils to make their time in school as beneficial and productive as possible. Your main objective will be to support these pupils with this, as well as making sure they are not displaying any triggers or any signs of unease.
Our main aim is to offer the best possible support to pupils. In order to be successful for this role a nurturing, patient and empathetic attitude will be key.
The School
This SEND school is based in the Normanton area and is easily accessible via public transport, however being able to drive is ideal for flexibility but not neccassary. There is ample car parking if you do have access to your own transport. We are continually seeking quality caring staff members, who with additional experience and training may eventually become full time or even supply support staff members.
