Job Title: SEN Teacher/Instructor
Salary: Up to GBP45,000 per annum, depending on experience
Hours: 37.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, including one 5:00 pm finish
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only
Start: September 2025

We are excited to recruit an SEN Teacher/Instructor for our New Acorn Education School - Bricklehurst Manor School in Stonegate, East Sussex.

About the role

To further develop the curriculum to meet all students' needs, providing them with relevant skills and knowledge to succeed. To secure high-quality teaching, effective resource use, and improved standards of learning and achievement in consultation with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team.

Some of the duties include:

  1. Planning, delivering, and teaching individual students or small groups according to the School's Curriculum framework and policies.
  2. Monitoring, recording, and reporting on student progress.
  3. Promoting the physical, educational, and moral development of students in line with company policies.
  4. Contributing to creating a learning environment and program tailored to individual students for appropriate progression.
  5. Coordinating teaching, development, assessment, and reporting across key stages as agreed with the Headteacher.
  6. Organizing the classroom, resources, student groupings, and displays to foster a stimulating learning environment.
  7. Managing challenging behavior to help students develop self-control.

Bricklehurst Manor School is a new school catering for 60 pupils aged 11-16 with SEMH and related needs. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in setting up and developing a new school environment, supporting students with special educational needs.

The school is located in Stonegate, East Sussex.
