Job summary

Supply Desk are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Primary SEN Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive school in the Kings Langley area. This is an opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and helping every pupil reach their full potential.

You will deliver engaging, creative and personalised lessons, adapt teaching to meet individual needs, and work with teaching assistants, therapists and parents to support academic

Qualifications

• QTS/QTLS or equivalent required.
• Experience with primary-aged children with SEN.
• Strong understanding of EHCPs and differentiated teaching approaches.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and behaviour management skills.
• Calm, patient, compassionate and resilient approach.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for primary pupils.
• Support pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and speech/language needs.
• Create a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
• Set learning objectives and monitor progress against EHCP targets.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, parents and external professionals.
• Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, independence and confidence.
• Adapt teaching strategies, resources and activities to maximise learning.
• Support development of academic, social and life skills.
