The school is committed to unlocking the potential of every child through tailored learning, structure, and positive relationships.

Primary SEN Teacher with experience in supporting pupils with ADHD to join their dynamic and supportive team.

What You'll Be Doing

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and delivering personalised, engaging lessons in line with EHCP targets and developmental levels
  • Supporting behaviour and emotional regulation through clear routines and therapeutic strategies
  • Collaborating with SENCOs, therapists, and parents to provide a joined-up approach to support
  • Leading and mentoring Teaching Assistants and Learning Support Assistants in the classroom
  • Monitoring and assessing progress and adapting approaches to suit individual learning styles
  • Creating a calm, inclusive environment that promotes confidence, independence, and resilience
What We’re Looking For

We're looking for a proactive and empathetic teacher who understands the unique challenges and strengths of pupils with ADHD and associated needs. You may have worked in a mainstream or specialist setting, but must bring a passion for inclusive, pupil-centred teaching.

Essential:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching pupils with ADHD and/or SEMH needs
  • A strong understanding of behaviour management and emotional regulation techniques
  • Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils and support staff
  • Excellent classroom and team leadership skills
  • A calm, consistent and flexible approach to teaching
Desirable:
  • Previous experience in a specialist or alternative provision
  • Training in Team Teach, de-escalation, or trauma-informed practice
  • Familiarity with ADHD-specific strategies and interventions
  • Experience working within EHCP frameworks
Why Join This School
  • A collaborative and supportive staff culture focused on wellbeing and professional growth
  • Ongoing specialist training and clear career development pathways
  • Excellent resources, including sensory spaces, therapy rooms and outdoor areas
  • Small class sizes and a strong team around each learner
  • An opportunity to make a significant difference to children's lives and futures
