Qualifications

  • Requirements include UK QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience in teaching students with complex needs desirable.
  • Strong core subject knowledge in Maths and English necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Teach a wide range of learners from early years through primary.
  • Plan and deliver lessons, monitor student progress and provide feedback.
  • Draft and update Individual Learning Plans for students.

Job description

  • Responsibility for student timetables and meeting need

  • Additional duties given at request of the head of school

Underley Garden School is a large school with small class sizes, focusing on pupils, aged 5-19, who have a range of complex needs associated with autism and learning disabilities, including complex communication, sensory and behavioural needs associated with their disabilities.
