Salary - £31,650.00 - £49,084.00 - MPS/UPS + SEN (£2,679 PA ) & additional allowances (applicable for QTS holders only)
Academics are recruiting on behalf of an amazing co-educational all through special school located in Basingstoke. The SEN school provides education and care for 128 young people between the ages of 5 to 16, with a primary diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC).
They have an exciting opportunity for a warm, nurturing and passionate Primary SEN Teacher to join their team in September. This is a full-time, permanent position.
The suitable Primary SEN Teacher will have recent experience of teaching children with special educational needs, specifically with Autism or Aspergers Syndrome, ideally within an SEN setting. You will be required to plan and prepare fun and engaging lessons to small groups of children which are tailored to meet their individual learning levels.
They are a purpose built school with specialist classrooms and extensive external grounds. Their aim is to provide opportunities for all children to thrive, reach their potential and have the skills necessary to overcome barriers. They believe that building confidence, self-esteem and resilience plays a significant role in students' ability to learn and achieve.
The curriculum has been designed to support their students to achieve their best possible outcomes by combining academic studies with key life skills. They achieve this by offering a range of qualifications and activities that are suitable for their learners, ensuring all students leave school with the skills needed to successfully transition to further education, employment or training.
