Job description

Prospero Teaching is looking for passionate, proactive and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support the learning of pupils in one of our SEMH Schools in Wythenshawe on a full-time basis. 1. The role is based in an inspirational SEN School setting in Wythenshawe.
2. The School supports pupils in KS2 and there are opportunities to support pupils across all year groups depending on your preference and specialism.
3. The School has an outstanding supportive culture and Leadership Team, where staff work as a Team within classrooms to provide high standards of support to pupils.

Pay, Hours and Contract:

1. Pay Between GBP(Apply online only) per day.
2. Contract Full-time until the end of the Academic Year in July 2025. Temporary Contract.
3. Start Date ASAP.
4. Location Wythenshawe.

About the Role:

1. The role will involve supporting pupils working at KS2 level who have a wide range of SEMH and challenging behaviour.
2. The role will involve supporting pupils on both a 1:1 basis and in small groups. The different types of SEN that pupils have may include ASD, ADHD, SEMH.
3. A key part of the role will be to build rapport and positive relationships with pupils to help them engage with their learning and make progress both academically and as young people.
4. A key part of the role will also be to develop an understanding of the different needs and learning styles of different pupils within the classroom, working closely alongside Class Teachers and colleagues to establish this.

Experience/Qualifications and Requirements:

1. A Supporting Teaching and Learning or Childcare-based Qualification (desired).
2. Experience of working with Children in Schools in the UK.
3. Experience within an SEN School Setting (desired).
4. An ability to build positive relationships and rapport with pupils and staff.
5. A resilient, proactive, and positive nature.
6. Hold Right to Work in the UK.
7. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
8. Provide professional references that cover the last two years.
