Job summary

Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support a welcoming primary school in Saltdean, East Sussex. The role offers flexible full-time or part-time work during term time, with daily pay between £92.63 and £110.

Experience with children and a patient, proactive approach are valued, with opportunities to support pupils with additional needs and build strong relationships within a collaborative school team. DBS checks and safeguarding are part of the process.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children (school or similar setting preferred).
• Patient, caring and proactive approach.
• Confidence supporting pupils with additional needs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Level 2 qualification in childcare/education (desirable, not essential).

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in class, including those with SEN
• Deliver small group and 1:1 interventions
• Assist teachers in ensuring all pupils can access learning
• Support behaviour and promote a positive classroom environment
• Carry out break and lunchtime duties as required
• Build strong relationships with staff, pupils, and parents
