The Role - KS1 Teaching Assistant

As a KS1 Teaching Assistant working through Academics, you will:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons tailored to young learners.
  • Work with individuals and small groups to develop early literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
  • Create a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and active participation in class activities.

About You

To be considered for this KS1 Teaching Assistant position, you should have:

  • Experience supporting children in Key Stage 1 or an early years/primary school setting (preferred but not essential).
  • A genuine enthusiasm for working with young children and helping them learn and grow.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A patient, caring, and proactive attitude.
  • A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (preferred but not essential).
