A premier educational institution in England is seeking an experienced EYFS Lead Teacher to enhance learning standards and lead curriculum development. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of EYFS experience, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to safeguarding children. This role is critical in shaping young learners' experiences and involves collaboration with staff, families, and external agencies.
Job Title: EYFS Lead Teacher
Main Purpose of the Role: To raise standards of learning and teaching in the EYFS, lead curriculum development, and support staff and pupils to achieve the best outcomes. The EYFS Lead is a member of the school's leadership team and plays a key role in strategic decision-making.
Essential: QTS and a degree, minimum 3 years EYFS teaching experience, experience leading others, strong knowledge of EYFS statutory framework and Development Matters, ability to analyse data, plan effectively, and differentiate teaching, excellent communication and ICT skills, commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
Desirable: Experience in KS1 or with children under 3, experience working with EAL, SEN, and disadvantaged pupils, understanding of assessment for learning and play-based pedagogy.
Personal Qualities: Passionate, resilient, and energetic, calm, friendly, and approachable, organised, self-motivated, and solution-focused, committed to equality and continuous improvement, sense of humour and team spirit.
