Exciting Opportunity: Primary School Teacher (Autism Specialist) – Merton

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary School Teacher to join a warm and supportive school in Merton that caters to children with autism. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a nurturing environment with excellent staff support and a lovely learning atmosphere.

The Role:

Plan and deliver engaging, tailored lessons to meet the needs of autistic learners.

Foster a positive, inclusive, and sensory-friendly classroom environment.

Work closely with supportive staff, therapists, and parents to ensure pupil progress.

Use specialist strategies (e.g., PECS, TEACCH, or Makaton) to enhance communication and learning (training provided if needed).

Monitor and assess student development, adapting teaching methods as needed.

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Experience working with autistic or SEN children is preferred but not essential – a passion for inclusive education is key!
