As a Primary School Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, fostering a positive classroom environment, and supporting the holistic development of students. Key responsibilities include differentiation, assessment, collaboration with colleagues, and participation in professional development activities. The ideal candidate will hold a relevant teaching qualification, have experience in primary education, and demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills. Position Details:
  • Position: Primary School Teacher
  • Location: Southend-on-Sea
  • Salary Scale: £125-£230 per day (£24,375 - £44,850 annual) depending on experience & qualifications
  • Contract Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver creative and stimulating lessons that cater to diverse learning needs.
  • Establish a positive and supportive classroom environment encouraging participation, collaboration, and respect.
  • Assess student progress regularly and use data to inform instructional decisions.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet individual needs and provide additional support or challenge as needed.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders to support student learning and well-being.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to school improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field (PGCE or equivalent preferred).
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Proven experience teaching in a primary school setting (ECTs encouraged to apply).
  • Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum, instructional strategies, and assessment practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • A passion for working with children and a commitment to their holistic development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
