A well-regarded, 2-form entry mainstream primary school in Sutton is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 5 Class Teacher to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis from September 2025.
This is a thriving and inclusive school rated 'Good' by Ofsted, with a strong community ethos and a commitment to high standards of teaching and learning. With two classes per year group, staff benefit from shared planning, support, and collaboration. Full class teacher responsibilities for a Year 5 class
Delivering high-quality, engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum
Working closely with the parallel Year 5 teacher for collaborative planning
Maintaining strong classroom management and fostering a positive learning environment
Monitoring pupil progress and implementing effective strategies for improvement
Participating in the wider life of the school including parents' evenings, trips, and staff CPD
Holds UK QTS and has experience teaching in KS2 (Year 5 desirable)
Is a team player with strong communication skills
Has excellent behaviour management and high expectations for pupils
Is passionate about teaching and making a lasting impact on learners
Is reflective, resilient, and committed to continuous professional development
