Job summary

Teaching Personnel seeks a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school from 7th September on a full-time basis. You will support teaching and learning across the primary age range, working closely with class teachers to help pupils achieve their full potential in a positive learning environment.

The role involves delivering high-quality lessons with the class teacher, supporting individuals and groups, and contributing to an inclusive, safe classroom.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children in a school or educational setting is desirable.
• Passion for supporting children's learning and development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, caring and proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality lessons and activities.
• Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
• Provide support for pupils with varying learning needs.
• Help create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
• Assist with preparation of resources and displays.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to staff.
• Support pupils' social, emotional and behavioural development.
• Assist with playground duties and other school activities as required.
