Job summary

Perth & Kinross Council is seeking a compassionate Primary School Support Worker for Balbeggie Primary School, Perth. This fixed-term post runs until 31 December 2026, 23.5 hours per week during term time. You will help pupils access an inclusive curriculum and work closely with teachers to support academic, social and emotional development.

Balbeggie Primary School, Perth

We are looking for a compassionate and dynamic Primary School Support Worker to join our dedicated team at Balbeggie Primary School.

In this role, you will make a real difference by supporting children and young people to access a meaningful and inclusive curriculum. You will work closely with teachers and colleagues to help pupils thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

As a Primary Support Worker, you will:

  • Support pupils on a one-to-one basis, in small groups and within the classroom.
  • Assist with positive behaviour approaches.
  • Support pupils during transitions, break times and school activities.
  • Provide support with intimate care routines where required.
  • Use ICT to enhance learning experiences.
  • Contribute to personal learning plans and inclusive practice.

Skills & Experience Required
