Job summary

Perth and Kinross Council seeks two Enhanced Pupil Support Assistants for the Intensive Support Provision at Crieff Primary School. Two fixed-term posts run until 15 August 2027, 27.5 hours across 5 days (term-time) and 22 hours across 4 days (term-time).

You will support pupils with complex needs and supervise play and wellbeing during breaks. Applicants should have experience with learners with additional support needs, be motivated, and able to work well in a team.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work effectively both in a team and on your own initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils individually and in small groups within the Intensive Support Provision.

£18,847 - £20,505 (27.5 Hours per week, Term-time only)
£15,078 - £16,404 (22 Hours per week, Term-time only)
Crieff Primary School

At Crieff Primary, we believe team working and a friendly, supportive atmosphere create a happy school. Two new opportunities have arisen, for Pupil Support Staff and we are looking for enthusiastic, nurturing individuals, who have a positive and solution focused attitude to join our team.

Posts available - 1 x 27.5 hours across 5 days. 1 x 22 hours across 4 days.
Both posts shall be on a temporary fixed term basis, until August 2027. Following this, a staff review shall take place to establish staffing for the following session.

You will support pupils individually and in small groups within our Intensive Support Provision, to help meet a range of complex learning needs and work closely with staff. You will also support children at break and lunchtimes, working with children to encourage active play and supervising wellbeing.

Please note, we are currently unable to offer sponsorship for this post.

Skills & Experience Required

You will ideally have knowledge and experience of working with learners with a range of additional support needs and be interested in pursuing a career working in an educational environment.

You will be motivated and interested in child development and keen to support learners reach their full potential.

Knowledge of a wide range of learning needs and how to foster positive relationships would be an advantage.

You will understand the need for confidentiality and be able to work sensitively to support learners and their families. You will also be able to demonstrate an ability to work effectively within a team and on your own initiative.

You will have excellent communication skills and a positive approach to working with children.
