Job summary

Talent Recruitment Group is seeking an Unqualified Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Oldham. This full-time temporary role offers an immediate start with the potential to become permanent.

You will support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons, provide one-to-one and small-group support, reinforce learning objectives in literacy and numeracy, and help pupils with their social and emotional development.

Qualifications

• Formal TA qualification not essential; relevant experience welcomed.
• Demonstrated transferable skills and confidence to contribute in a school setting.
• Reliability, adaptability and confidence with primary-aged children.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and maintaining an effective learning environment.
• Provide targeted one-to-one and small-group support to meet pupils' individual learning needs.
• Reinforce learning objectives and assist pupils in developing literacy, numeracy and wider academic skills.
• Monitor pupil engagement and progress, communicating observations to the class teacher.
• Promote positive behaviour, encourage independence and maintain consistent classroom expectations.
• Support pupils' social and emotional development, helping them build confidence and positive relationships.
