Job description

Location: Oldbury Start Date: September 2025 Position: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm Pay: From £89 per day/ £13.86 per hour Contract: Long-term We are currently seeking SEND Teaching Assistants who are experienced supporting individuals with SLD needs. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity working with pupils who require additional support. You will be providing tailored assistance either 1:1 or in small groups, helping students access learning and thrive in the school environment. Key Responsibilities: • Provide targeted 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of special educational needs (SEN) • Assist in implementing and monitoring Individual Education Plans (IEPs) • Support students' academic, emotional, and social development • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other school staff • Help create an inclusive, safe, and engaging classroom environment Requirements: • Previous school-based experience is essential • Experience working with children with SEN is essential • Positive, patient, and flexible approach to supporting young people • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • A valid DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact and be part of a committed school team focused on inclusion and pupil progress.
