Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is seeking a hands-on Site Manager for a primary school in East Bristol. The role starts on 26th October and runs initially until Christmas, with potential for long-term or permanent opportunity and a 3-day handover with the current Site Manager.

The ideal candidate will manage maintenance, safety, cleaning and liaise with contractors, with DBS checks and safeguarding in line with school requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in site management, premises maintenance, facilities management, caretaker or similar role is required.
• A general understanding of health and safety procedures within a school environment would be advantageous.
• Organised, practical and reliable with initiative to identify tasks and complete them.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out regular site maintenance checks to ensure the school premises remain safe and well maintained.
• Completing ad hoc cleaning and general grounds maintenance as required.
• Working closely with the Site Operations Manager to complete specific maintenance and operational duties.
• Meeting and liaising with contractors attending the school.
• Updating Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks on theIamCompliant system.
• Raising requisitions and completing relevant administrative tasks.
• Maintaining a good general understanding of health and safety requirements within a school environment.
• Helping to ensure the school site remains safe, secure and suitable for pupils, staff and visitors.
