Pertemps Education is working with a wonderful Primary school in Hayes who are seeking a committed and confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team from January. This is a 2-day-per-week role, offering a fantastic opportunity to work across a warm, supportive school environment.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for covering classes from EYFS to Year 6, delivering engaging lessons and ensuring a positive learning experience for all pupils. You will work alongside teaching staff to maintain high standards of behaviour and learning across the school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Confidently deliver pre‑planned lessons across all primary year groups (EYFS–Year 6).
  • Maintain strong behaviour management and create a positive classroom atmosphere.
  • Support pupils’ learning, engagement, and progress.
  • Work collaboratively with class teachers, support staff, and SLT.
  • Adapt to the needs of different classes and year groups.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • HLTA qualification or significant experience working as an HLTA.
  • Strong behaviour‑management skills.
  • Flexibility to work across multiple year groups.
  • A proactive, reliable, and positive approach.
  • Excellent communication and classroom‑management skills.
Requirements:
