Are you an experienced and passionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking for an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in a vibrant primary school?

A thriving 2-form entry primary academy in New Addington, Croydon, is seeking a dedicated and motivated HLTA to join their team. This is a full-time role where you will be working across various year groups to support their teaching staff and contribute to the high standards of education and care they offer their pupils.

About the Role:

As an HLTA, you will play an essential role in supporting the delivery of the curriculum across different year groups. You will assist in planning, preparing, and delivering lessons, as well as helping with classroom management, pupil assessment, and individual student support. You will work closely with teachers to ensure that all pupils are engaged, motivated, and supported to achieve their best.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality support to teachers across all year groups.
  • Assist in the planning, preparation, and delivery of lessons, ensuring they are inclusive and accessible for all pupils.
  • Support with classroom management and the delivery of interventions for individual and small group work.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing feedback to teaching staff.

About You:

  • You will be a qualified HLTA, holding a Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience.
  • You will have experience working in a primary school setting, ideally across different year groups.
  • You will have a passion for education and a commitment to providing the best support for both pupils and teachers.
  • You will be highly organised, with excellent communication skills and a proactive approach.
  • You will be adaptable, flexible, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
