Job summary

Prospero Teaching are supporting a mainstream primary school in Brixton, SW2 by recruiting a Primary Playworker to assist with EYFS playtime and class activities. The position is a temporary contract starting September 2026, full-time, school hours 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, term-time only.

The school offers training and development, with opportunities to extend or move to a permanent role based on performance. Applicants must have at least one year of TA experience in the UK and safeguarding training

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of TA experience in the UK.
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year.

Responsibilities

• Support EYFS children during playtime and class activities.
• Assist teaching team with daily activities and supervision.

Primary School Playworker

Prospero Teaching is looking for a Primary Playworker to join a school in Brixton, SW2.

The school is a popular mainstream Primary School with a supportive senior leadership team. The school is going from strength to strength and providing training to all staff.

Depending on performance the school would look at either extending the contract or offering a permanent position.

Experience, training and qualifications

To be eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK


• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application


• Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
