Job summary

Fordbridge Primary School, in partnership with The Supply Register Ltd., seeks a Sports Coach or PE Teacher to join from January 2027 on a 12-month contract. You will deliver after-school PE sessions to pupils in Years 2–6, fostering physical fitness, teamwork and confidence in a supportive school environment.

The role emphasizes inclusivity for pupils with additional needs, collaboration with teaching and support staff, and creating engaging, accessible activities that help every child enjoy

Qualifications

• Holds a relevant sports coaching qualification or has appropriate PE teaching qualifications.
• Experience in a primary or secondary school setting is desirable.
• Confident delivering PE sessions to Years 2–6.
• Able to manage groups and create a positive learning environment.
• Understands inclusion and supporting pupils with additional needs (e.g., autism/ADHD).
• Enthusiastic, reliable and passionate about helping children reach their potential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and inclusive sports and PE sessions to pupils in Years 2–6.
• Support children in developing physical abilities, teamwork and confidence.
• Collaborate with support staff to ensure activities are accessible and enjoyable for all.
• Create a positive, inclusive learning environment during lessons.
