Overview

Primary Outreach Tutor Opportunity - Cranbrook, Exeter. Prospero Teaching is looking for Outreach Tutors to deliver bespoke tuition packages on a 1:1 basis to young people that are currently without a school placement.

Responsibilities

• Create, plan and deliver 1:1 tailored lessons to bridge gaps in pupils' education and boost engagement and attainment levels.
• Reengage pupils who have been out of education, offering structure back into their daily routine.
• Prospero Teaching will work closely to monitor progression with each pupil and support effective learning.

Contract/Position Details

• Location: Within the community or pupils' home in Cranbrook, Exeter
• Position: 1:1 Primary Outreach Tutor
• Type of work: Contract
• Start date: ASAP
• Duration: Until the pupil can reintegrate into a new school placement
• End date: Ongoing
• Contract type: Temporary
• Hours: Part time (6 - 15 hours per week, per student)
• Minimum rate of pay: £25+ per hour
• Working hours: Can differentiate, depending on the convenient timings of the family

Experience, Training and Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent
• Possess UK classroom teaching experience
• Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box
• Have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils

Eligibility

• Hold the right to work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child-related references
