A dedicated healthcare provider in the UK seeks a Primary Mental Health Team Senior Lead to manage and supervise clinicians, ensuring quality patient care and service efficiency. Responsibilities include direct clinical care, strategic oversight of services, and collaboration with partner agencies. Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong leadership and a commitment to improving mental health services for children and young people.
To line manage and clinically supervise the clinicians in the PMHW and Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) in schools, ensuring quality and patient safety are paramount to service provision.
Support the service lead in the successful deployment of future MHST roll-outs, ensuring the fidelity of the model.
Work with the service lead to ensure financial efficiency and effective use of available resources.
Hold a clinical caseload, providing direct care to the client group.
Identify gaps in service provision and help develop services to meet the needs of this client group.
Role model compassionate and inclusive leadership to foster a collective leadership culture within the trust. Demonstrate leadership that engages, enables, and empowers others, uses coaching to promote ownership of learning and quality improvement, and facilitates teamwork and collaboration across departments and boundaries.
Oversee the delivery of mental health support for children and young people in Northumberland, aligning with the current Primary Mental Health Team and MHST offerings and clinical pathways. Collaborate with partner agencies to ensure effective interface working across the emotional and mental health pathway.
Provide supervision to clinicians and work directly with children and young people through 1:1 clinical interventions.
Work with partner agencies to align with national drivers influencing service delivery. Maintain and improve service SOPs and processes to ensure patient safety and high-quality care, collaborating with senior leads on service improvement initiatives.
Manage services across North Tyneside, Wansbeck, Hexham, and other smaller community hospitals and clinics, covering a large geographical area. Lead innovation and quality improvements, including the opening of the Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, the first of its kind in England.
