Job summary

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) North Wales is seeking an experienced practitioner to join the Primary Mental Health Services in the West area. You will work in a busy, supportive team, handling referrals from GPs and delivering short-term interventions for patients with mild to moderate mental health issues.

The role requires multi-disciplinary collaboration, strong communication, and sound risk and care planning.

Qualifications

• Essential: NMC/HCPC/registration and up-to-date knowledge of Mental Health Act and risk management.
• Desirable: Diploma or degree in relevant clinical/professional subject.
• Post-registration experience at Band 5 or above; postgraduate level experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide initial mental health assessments in line with BCUHB procedures.
• Offer time-limited interventions for mild to moderate mental health problems.
• Act as the first point of contact for GPs and signpost to appropriate services; manage therapeutic interventions and risk.
