Position: Primary Maths Teacher
Location: Kingston
Start Date: April 2025
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance (dependent on experience)

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Primary Maths Teacher to join our specialist SEN school in Kingston. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher to work with students with special educational needs, providing them with the skills and support they need to thrive in their learning journey.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and differentiated Maths lessons for primary-aged students with special educational needs.
  • Use creative and adaptive teaching methods to ensure that each student can access and engage with the curriculum.
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the SENCO and other support staff.
  • Provide tailored support in both one-to-one and small group settings.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment where students feel confident, supported, and encouraged to succeed.
  • Monitor and track student progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet the evolving needs of each learner.
  • Work closely with parents, carers, and external agencies to support students' academic, social, and emotional development.
Who We’re Looking For:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Maths, ideally within a primary or SEN setting.
  • A strong understanding of SEN teaching strategies and how to differentiate effectively.
  • A creative, patient, and empathetic approach to working with students with diverse learning needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
