Job Title: Primary Logistics Planner
Contract: Full Time, Permanent 4 on 4 off Days and Nights rotating

Do you have distribution planning experience within a fast-paced transport office and are looking for a new challenge?
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Distribution Planner to join our Logistics Planning team based at our Head Office in Bolton, working a 4 on 4 off days/nights shift rota.
With a fleet of over 900 vehicles and one of the biggest independent distribution networks in the UK, we are proud to deliver our freshly baked products daily to over 17,000 customer stores across the UK.

The Recipe
Our Logistics Planner is responsible for creating and coordinating the day-to-day transport and resource plan within our primary network, working closely with transport and manufacturing teams to ensure compliance and manage in-day changes to planning. This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced industry. It’s an extremely busy role planning activity for more than 200 primary drivers daily across our national distribution network. The role is pivotal in ensuring that Warburtons maintains and enhances our customer offering of having the freshest product across the UK, in full and on time.
Working as part of a collaborative planning team, you will have a methodical and organized approach with the ability to multi-task and prioritize your workload. You will work closely with internal bakery and manufacturing teams to ensure compliance with the plan and manage any in-day changes to planning.

Working throughout the UK network, you will have a good understanding of locations, routes, and the national road network. You’ll focus on keeping our supply chain moving and our customers satisfied, building strong internal and external relationships, providing key metrics daily, weekly, and periodically, reporting issues, and managing costs.
