Protocol Education is partnering with primary schools in Ferryhill to recruit Level 3 Teaching Assistants for full-time roles starting September 2026.

You will work closely with teachers to support pupils’ academic, social and emotional progress, delivering interventions and providing one-to-one support where needed.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification required.
• Previous experience in a primary school is preferred.
• Strong understanding of classroom support and pupil needs.
• Excellent communication skills with pupils and staff.
• Caring, patient, and able to build positive relationships with pupils.
• Team-focused and adaptable to different school environments.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.

Primary Level 3 Teaching Assistant – Ferryhill, Durham

Support, encourage and inspire pupils every day.

Protocol Education is partnering with primary schools in Ferryhill to find dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistants for full-time roles beginning in September.

You'll be working closely with teachers and support staff to help pupils make progress academically, socially and emotionally. From classroom assistance to targeted interventions, you'll have the opportunity to make a genuine difference to children's school experience.

The Role

• Full-time
• September 2026 start
• Monday-Friday
• 8:30am-3:30pm or 8:30am-4:00pm
• Term-time only
• Long-term role with permanent potential

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils throughout classroom activities
