Job summary

Brynmenyn Primary School is seeking a Learning Support Officer to join a dedicated teaching team in Bridgend. The role offers 30 hours per week at a salary of 19,546–20,183 per annum, temporary up to one year.

The successful candidate will support pupils across the primary phase, work with staff, and contribute to planning and learning activities. Qualifications include at least NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, and Welsh language ability is a requirement for this post.

Responsibilities

• Work in partnership with teaching and other support staff.
• Contribute to planning and evaluation of learning activities.
• Support pupils across the primary phase with additional learning needs and behaviour management.
• Deliver intervention work for pupils as needed.
• Take part in break and lunch duties.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Support staff to champion an area of the curriculum and contribute to school improvement.
