Job Title: Primary Learning Support Assistant

Location: Wednesbury

Start Date: Immediate Start

Salary: GBP88 - GBP110 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a SEND school in Kingswinford, supporting with their recruitment for a Primary Learning Support Assistant.

The setting is centered on pupils' development, as well as an intrinsic desire to make progress both academically and with their own emotional, social, and behavioral skills.

The school is seeking a passionate team player to take on this short-term role, although there is potential for this to become a long-term placement for the right Primary Learning Support Assistant.

The successful Primary Learning Support Assistant will bring a new dimension and skill set to this role, be keen to develop their own skills to adapt to the children's individual needs, and have a positive impact on the wider school.

The position will involve working with students across KS1 and KS2 with diagnoses of Autism / ASD, SLD / Severe Learning Difficulties, and challenging behaviors. A proactive thinker with the ability to take control of situations confidently is necessary.

The successful Primary Learning Support Assistant will have:

  1. Experience working with children with additional needs / disabilities
  2. Experience working with students with Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) and challenging behaviors
  3. Level 2 or 3 CACHE or equivalent
  4. Team-Teach or MAPA qualifications desirable
