Job summary

GSL Education is seeking a committed Primary Learning Support Assistant for an immediate start in Wickford. You will work with teachers to support pupils across EYFS, KS1, or KS2, delivering 1:1 and small group interventions to promote engagement and learning.

You will contribute to a positive, safe classroom and support students’ social and emotional development while gaining valuable primary classroom experience. A dedicated consultant will support you throughout placement.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children in a school or childcare setting.
• Understanding of the primary curriculum.
• Patient, adaptable, and enthusiastic approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child protection (enhanced DBS on the update service required).

The Role
