Key Stage 2 Teacher Position
New Directions is seeking a passionate Key Stage 2 teacher with excellent classroom management skills and up-to-date knowledge of the literacy and numeracy framework. This role offers opportunities across fantastic primary schools in The Wirral.
As a Key Stage 2 Teacher, you will play a vital role in students' development during this critical educational stage. Your patient, supportive, and engaging approach will help create a stimulating learning environment and foster a love for learning.
Ideal candidates will have high expectations for pupils and demonstrate these through their teaching. Candidates must have experience planning and delivering high-quality lessons in Key Stage 2 (KS2) and hold qualified teacher status (QTS). Both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply.
Your role as a KS2 primary teacher will be varied and sometimes challenging, but it offers a highly rewarding career focused on developing children and preparing them for the next stage.
Responsibilities of a KS2 Primary Teacher:
- Teach all areas of the school curriculum or your subject specialism
- Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons catering to all student ability levels
- Motivate pupils through enthusiastic and imaginative presentation
- Meet requirements for assessing and recording pupils’ development
- Coordinate activities and resources within a specific curriculum area, supporting colleagues in delivering this specialist area
- Stay updated with curriculum changes and developments
- Participate in school events and activities, which may occur at weekends or evenings
- Liaise with colleagues and work flexibly, especially in smaller schools
