Job summary

Milk Education is seeking caring, enthusiastic Primary Impact Mentors to support pupils in Sunderland and South Tyneside across primary schools.

You will provide 1:1 and small group support to help children overcome barriers to learning, build confidence, and improve academic and social outcomes. The role works with teachers to tailor support and foster a positive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people.
• A positive, patient, and resilient approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A passion for helping children succeed and grow in confidence.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils across the Primary age range.
• Supporting children’s academic progress, wellbeing, and personal development.
• Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
• Encouraging engagement, confidence, and positive behaviour in the classroom.
• Supporting children with SEND, SEMH, and additional learning needs.
• Assisting teachers in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Milk Education is seeking caring, enthusiastic, and motivated Primary Impact Mentors to support pupils within Primary Schools across Sunderland and South Tyneside.

As a Primary Impact Mentor, you will play a key role in helping children overcome barriers to learning, develop confidence, and achieve success both academically and socially. Working closely with teachers and school staff, you will provide tailored support to pupils who need additional encouragement to reach their full potential.

This role is ideal for individuals with experience in education, mentoring, coaching, youth work, childcare, sports coaching, or support work who are looking to make a meaningful difference in schools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils across the Primary age range
• Supporting children’s academic progress, wellbeing, and personal development
• Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
• Encouraging engagement, confidence, and positive behaviour in the classroom
• Supporting children with SEND, SEMH, and additional learning needs
